Brian Beck is a PhD student at the Centre for Marine Studies, University of Queensland. Brian’s research interests include coral community ecology & palaeoecology of coral reefs. Brian has worked on coral reefs in the Dominican Republic and Vanuatu, and is currently examining the effects of cyclone frequency on coral community structure in the Solomon Islands.

Way to go Mr. Beck! I’m not much of a swimmer so I don’t think diving is for me, too. Though I heard somewhere that even if you’re not good in swimming, you can still dive and sea corals. Is there any truth in that? Well, good luck to your future endeavors.
